Default Chrome Side Assist Steps

Just installed the chrome side assist steps today. Not too tough a job. Bolt ons of course. Took about an hour working by myself. Really changed the looks. Any others with Saturn add on accessories can share your experiences?

2007 Outlook XR
Default Re: Chrome Side Assist Steps

I just ordered my Outlook from the factory and was going to talk to the dealer about these. I can order them online for 20% off. Is it just a few bolts or is there more to it?

Trust me, I am not mechanically inclined and it was an easy job. The biggest part is gettiing the brackets assembled and put on. Going for memory here seems like 8 bolts a side. 4 for each bracket. Just allow some time and you'll be good to go. Just make sure you have the recommended tools before starting.

depending on where you live, if there are other outlook/acadia/enclave (scratch the enclave, those owners are not likely to wanna wrench) owners, then you could post up for a wrench-a-thon meeting at your house. Everyone could learn some stuff about installing them, have good discussions with the cars in common, and order pizza/beer/wine-for the enclavers/and let the kids decide who's got the best car!
