2003 ION-3 Quad Coupe
Default No Shocks or Struts?

I recently purchased a 2003 Ion 3 QC. I love the car and the gas mileage. I have been trying to find some aftermarket struts and shocks to no avail. I am ordering a set of Eibach springs and would like to change out the shocks and struts at the same time. Are we all screwed when it comes to these parts?

Technically, we're not ALL screwed. Koni made, from what I understand, extremely limited amounts of adjustable struts and dampers for our Ion. Theres only 1 person I know of that has them, and he says his car handles like its on rails. Either youre going to have to have some serious luck and pick up a pair, or just stick with your eibachs and be satisfied. Sorry man

Weeeeell, hold on there now. Over at Gravana Tuning, they're showing some semi-adjustable coilovers now for the Ion. Expensive as ****, but they're available.

Good news, at least on the struts. My local Napa store has the Monroe Sensa-Trak models in stock. They are $60.00 plus tax each. He is going to get ahold of the district rep. and see if there is any word on the rear shocks. They list in his catalog that the rear shocks will be available in the third quarter(which we just passed). Hopefully they will be coming down the pipeline soon. Allthough they are not a "performance" product it's better than nothing if you need to replace them. I can't imagine what the stealer would charge!
