1999 SW1
Default Rear washer on 99 SW1

Hello all...

My rear window washer has ceased to work during the last couple of months and I figured I'd just wait until better weather to check on it. So today I checked the Hanes manual and the owners manual thinking it'd be as simple as a fuse. Nope. The wiper still works, so it can't be the fuse, plus I checked it anyways and yes the fluid is full.
When I attempt to use some washer fluid there is no sound comimg from the pump. Where do I go from here.

Thanks,
Jerry.

Check the wires on the back of the wiper switch. Look through where the wiper lever goes through the shrouds and you may see a broken green wire.

seen this a few times... yes, remove the steering wheel shroud and look on the right (passenger side) top of the switch. There is a wire there which becomes separated from it's terminal, and will need to be re-soldered. alternatively, you can replace the entire switch, but that is much more costly.
