Question Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler..CARB Legal?

Does anyone know if they made the Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler CARB Legal yet? I live in California so I just wanted to check. I know last time I checked a few years ago it wasn't..but it may be now. Also anyone have this muffler, what does it sound like?

Thanx

Cat back exhaust is legal in all 50 states-Including the infamous california with their carb certification.

Cat-back exhaust is 'CARB legal'. It's just the noise could be considered illegal. A super turbo muffler would be okay. And it would still pass the sniffer. The smog technican is allowed to use a wet rag to increase backpressure for the sniffer nozzle during the test.

**** that muffler, go w/ a striaght through muffler w/o twists inside thats where the hp is not w/ chambered mufflers that u might get .5 hp w/ vs 9hp (# came by from sps w/ muffler cut off) so just my 2 cents

Enlighten us as to how you get 9 HP from a muffler...?

I always thought it was more the piping size...

Chambered mufflers still flow very well, Hes talking about noise suppression. A strait through muffler exhibits poor noise control (Traditionally).

thats where i got the 9hp gain it is w/ no muffler, but i fig its about the same as a good straight though muffler
i would suggest a ghl motorsports muffler (its not on there website but they make them when u order have on both my cars my last car and current car) 100$ bucks for a quality made muffler cant beat it!!
