Default Oil Pan Sealant Replacement

I have searched in the forums and failed so now I ask.

Has anyone removed the oil pan on the 3.0 V6 and resealed? I have an oil leak that seems to be coming from that area. The ALLDATA DIY instructions makes it look simple.

ALLDATA DIY: Trust but verify.

Resealing the oil pan is simple enough. Removing the exhaust to gain access is the difficult part on the V-6. You must disconnect the oxygen sensors and drop the front section with the small cat converters. The difficulty depends on the corrosion level on your car.

Took a look under the car on Wednesday and saw exactly what you were talking about regarding removing the exhaust before dropping the oil pan.

I did notice that one of my cam shaft cover bolts was loose on the 2-4-6 bank. I was fairly certain I had all those tight when I replaced that gasket this summer. Tightened it up and cleaned all the oil gunk underneath.

Under observation for now.
