Default Just bought a 2007 Redline, what I need to know?

A black on black FWD with 140K. What should I check and service with those miles? Does it have a timing belt or chain? What is the HP compared to a regular Vue?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

It has a timing belt that should have been done at 100k. Along with the water pump and definitely transmission fluids.

Holy crap that's a lot of miles! I hope they gave you service records with it, otherwise you might be looking at a very expensive set of maintenance things that should have been done a long time ago.

The RL has 250hp (or is it 245?), same as the normal Honda powered V6 Vues. The RL adds suspension and handling tuning mostly.

This is a FWD Vue. What is the weight difference between a RL? -1000 lb at least? Vue should be quite a bit quicker?

Nah, any theoretical weight differences would be made up for by the tiny aerodynamic differences and better tires.

If an RL weight 100 pounds more I'd be surprised. Plastic bumpers don't weigh much, and the larger wheels are offset by smaller tires.

Realistically, there's a negligible difference in speed between a V6 Vue and an RL. Unless there's turns involved, in which case the RL will just walk all over the normal Vue.

OK, checked the new car guide for 2007. RL RTX is 4513 pounds, Vue V6 FWD is 3534 pounds.

Does 140k mean 140,000 kilometres or 140,000 miles, big difference.

I figured it out. By RL he means Honda Ridgeline, not Vue Redline.

That explains the confusion. RL means Redline here.

Yep, my bad. Had a Ridgeline once and it goes by RL too so it was on my mind. So I was really asking how much quicker does the 1000 pound lighter Vue feel next to the Ridgeline with the same engine.

Personally, I think it should be more of a difference, but GM handicaps every vehicle they sell with excessive TM that slow the vehicles down. Plus they totally neutered 1st gear in the Vue.
