1995 SL2
Default removing 95 SL2 trim between front and rear door windows?

I'm repainting my car and this piece would be easier to paint off than on the car (automatic car wash ruined the finish on it). There are two push pins that hold the bottom and it seems to hook under the roof at the top, but after removing the two pins at the bottom, it still doesn't want to come off by pushing down, up, or pulling it out.. Is it glued to the car or held on by something from the inside? How can I get it off without damaging it?

It's a '95 SL2 (sedan): Gen 1 exterior, Gen 2 interior. I'm talking about the black plastic trim that fills the area between the front and rear door windows (extending from the bottom of the window to the roof).

High compression build: .033" shaved/ported head, flat-faced valves; gen3 rods, pistons, tie-plate; OE header, custom CAI, SDA street cams with adjustable sprockets, WBO2, SAFCII, LSD. ASE A1-A8+L1
