Default Will a 1997 saturn sc1 manual transmission work in my 1998 manual sl2?

Title says it all. My cousin is going to junk his car, was wondering if I should bother holding onto the tranny or not.

yes everything will bolt up and work correctly. however if you have cruise, it might get a little wonky because the gear ratios may be different. check to be sure.

also, your acceleration will be slower because each shift will drop you lower in the rpm band, away from the sweet spot of the DOHC engine.
