Default 2007 2008 redline differences

I will be finally buying my Sky soon. I was wondering if there were any changes between 2007 and 2008. I was thinking that if I found a 2007 hanging around a dealership still, I might be able to get a good deal on it. But, if the 2008 is better, I would rather spend the extra little bit.

The differences are very slight. There were running changes throughout the '07 model year. Assuming you are planning a new '07, you would enjoy all of the benefits, like the seat height adjuster and lock button. From '07 to '08, silver graphite was dropped as a color. There is only one mechanical difference and it's in the brakes for the '08. The '07s used a vacuum pump for the brake booster. This is absent in the '08 Red Line. This has caused some first-start brake problems for some owners.

Good luck finding a new '07 on the lot. The current discount applies to both the '07 (assuming there are any left) and the '08.

Oh okay. After pricing everything out, it looks like it'll be a few months before I get it.

TPMS?

30 percent of 2007 vehicles could be built without tire pressure monitor system. sky was part of that 30percent.

What's the Carbon Flash SE package?

The clutch went out in my Sc2, and it isn't cost effective to have a place to do the clutch. But, I don't have another vehicle. I might just get the base SKY to save money for the moment, then in the future do my own mods to make it better than the Redline, when the money comes along.

Didn't the base SKY originally come out as a 2006? All I see pricing for is 07 and 08

I feel kinda ridiculous buying this car, since I'm only 22, but my girlfriend has an 08 Mustang convertible (automatic, V-6, but still...). I'm just gonna get all kinds of crap for buying a new sports car, let alone a used one, but they just haven't been out long enough to acquire one.

One of the differences I remember my salesperson saying is that the 08 has a thicker top to help keep heat/cold in.

Probably not worth an extra 5k.
