Default What should i do?

My ground wire fried on my ignition. I dont have a jack to jack the car up and take a look at the starter and no other wires i can see have any damage. Is the ignition itself bad or is there a wire touching somewhere? I dont have a lot of money so i dont want to replace something that isnt broke. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
