Default 2004 L300 PCS and MAF codes

I am a 2004 L300 owner whose car has been intermittently flashing the check engine soon light for approximately 3 month. Last week the service engine soon light came on and the car started hard-shifting when the light was on. I took it to Saturn and they read the codes: P1811 PCS and the MAF code P1887. I reluctantly paid $1000 to a nonSaturn tech to replace both parts, only to have the check engine light come on again the next day after they were replaced. Scanner read P1811 when hooked up. Since the solenoid and MAF were replaced it would appear it is something else causing the code. I have read as much as possible, trying to find out more about others with similar issues. My questions are: Should I dump the car when the light is not on? Is it possible the transmission may have to be rebuilt? Is there really a "breaking in" period for the transmission to relearn after PCS replacement? What calibrations or programming must be done with replacing these two parts? I love my car, but I am not ready to spend thousands of dollars just to keep it in good running condition. Help!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
