I just picked up this 94 SC1, 150k miles, 5spd, the only options are cruise, A/C, and aluminum wheels, another Craigslist find, for $250. It has a few problems, including 1 dead cylinder. I already checked compression, 1, 2, and 4, all have 100psi, 3 has 0. Tomorrow I will pull the rocker cover to see if it's a stuck, or bent valve. If there's nothing obvious jumping out at me, I'll put this car to the side, and focus on the 95 SC2. Get that one finished, so I'll have one to drive when my 92 SL2 sells. Here's a couple of "before" pics.
![]() I hate the fact that the PO painted the alloys black, it just looks like it's missing the hubcaps to me. ![]() Yes those are zip ties holding the fender together! Not mine! ![]() ![]() The seats have very wierd wear, I've never seen them wear all the way to the steel! ![]() Anyone have a spare drivers side, manual window regulator, for a coupe laying around? Pat

Did you mean to say addition or addiction?

I'm starting to think the latter.
![]() My buddy told me after I bought the SC2, last week, that $900 will buy you quite a bit of professional help, for your addiction. lol ![]()

With those compression numbers, that engine is most likely going to need to be rebuilt, overall. With zero compression on cylinder 3 and the other cylinders at 100 PSI, you are going to be really rough trying to maintain that car running. The minimum on each of the cylinders is 185-190 PSI across all 4 cylinders.
Not a bad find for the money, hopefully you will be able to rebuilt the engine for cheap. My own 94 SC1 had the seats with the beige interior and my driver's side seat is worn down to the steel in the same location.... In regards to the alloys painted black- there is a product called Aircraft Stripper, or Airplane Stripper; that may take all of that black paint off so that you can refinish the alloys back to silver. There is a thread here from someone a few years back where they used this product and they were able to make the alloys look like factory new again. If you note too- the spoiler has been painted black as well ![]() Good luck and hope you are able to get the car running good. ![]() P.S. Looks like you have more then a Saturn addiction. Are those some older 1950s Ford or Chevy Pickup Trucks in the background? ![]()

The trucks in the background are two of the ones in my sig. I'm a bit of a car nut, those are in line behind my 73 Nova SS, I'm about 3 months away from that reveal, provided I get my Saturns out of the way.

Will that lower front bumper fit a sedan?? I think I might like that one better than my SL2. Might need to start looking harder at the cars in the JYs around here.
I Loooooooovvvvvvveeeeee white Saturns!! If I ever find one in a yard you bet your ass I am taking ever body panel I can and painting the hood. Great score for $250. Being a desert car, you could probably sell the front cradle to someone in the rust belt for the price you paid.

Thats not a bad idea actually! There are a few parts I could use for myself, and several that i'm sure would sell! If you're wondering, yes that bumper cover will fit an SL.
