Dizzy 2006 Vue 2.2L oil pan drain bolt torque specification?

What is the oil pan drain bolt torque specification for the 2006 Vue with 2.2L motor? I've looked everywhere and can't find a number.

2004 VUE 2.2L
Default Re: 2006 Vue 2.2L oil pan drain bolt torque specification?

Don't know. I've changed the oil on several different cars multiple times and have never once used my torque wrench to tighten the drain plug. I get it snug and then give it a little extra to tighten it up. With my VUE, I do all of this with the VUE on all 4 tires and not jacked up at all- so my available leverage for over-tightening the bolt just isn't there.

Get it tight, but don't get it super tight. If you're using a rachet, get it about as tight as you can with your hand about mid-way down the handle at most without exerting any extrahuman strength- this will limit your available leverage by using this "shorter" rachet.

Thanks, Tom, that's the only advice I've gotten so far...but I'm anal, I guess, and I'm sure there's a real factory spec number for this torque. Anyone know what it is?

Both the drain plug and the oil filter cap are to be tightened to 25 N*m (18 ft*lb).

I tried to scan it but the book is so thick and this section is right in the middle and I couldn't get that part of the page to lay very flat. But see the attachment.

If you need anything else, I can see what I can do.

Get a Fumoto valve and never have to remove a drain plug again...
