Default VUE Wheel Painting

I was wondering if anyone had painted their OE 16" 6 Spoke wheels.

I have a Silver VUE and was thinking of going with perhaps a dark silver. The clear coat is starting to peel in some spots and it's time for a change.

I wouldn't touch them, they look pretty nice. (BTW they look like 5 spokes) Somewhere I have pictures posted of my snoflakes (no longer on my vehicle) which are about 85% delaminated & corroded from brine. I replaced these with the 17" 5 spokes which are delaminateing but not nearly as bad.

Somewhere there are threads with Plastidip that looks like it comes out pretty good

Ha, they are 5 spoke wheels, I clearly didn't proof read what I had written. That picture is a few years old. They clear is stripped in a few spots on each wheel. They don't look bad from 15 feet away but up close they are rough.

I'm trying out VHT wheel paint this weekend. I'll try to do a mini write-up and see how it comes out.

For me the issue with plastidip was that there were no gloss colors, I don't want a flat color on the wheels.
