An all Saturn final in Sport Compact at Cape Breton Dragway's last ADRA Points Meet. My nephew Connor was runner up and I got the top spot for the second event in a row and a huge lead in the points. We had put all the imports out by round two as well as a rival track's top two S/C racers. A good day for Saturn Fans.....

You go, CheapRacer!

Fri: Washed her, shined her tires, cleaned her engine bay, vacuumed her interior, put her front door handles back on, then used her to pick up my date.

Got the matching front fender on. Lined her up better than last time. New splash guard put on. Got a majority of the pinstripe off. Getting too dark and my fingernail is too tired today. If I ever get a paint job I will just pull good panels from a junkyard.

Pulled the cowl to check the drains. The drain is fine, the bug catcher screen needed some help.

And I'm still wondering how the water got in, since the usual suspects have been cleared.

Went to the semi-local JY, what a magical place for a car nut like me!

There were maybe a 1000 cars, piled 2 high, just row upon row upon row of them. I was looking for some child seat tether safety harness anchors, since my 98 SL1 did not come with them.

Believe it or not, there were no 3rd gen SL's on the lot! There were a few 1st and 2nd gens, LOTS of Ions for some reason, and a few L series. I ended up taking a couple anchors from an Ion( they fit the SL1 just great) I also took an ECTS plug from an SL1, a bunch of those push pins from the wheel wells, and a whole bunch of car emblems such as Saturn, Cadillac, and some from a Jag. I had a nice pile of stuff at the end, cost me $10! I was happy!

And now I can properly attach a child seat to my Saturn!

Respliced a new OBDII reader port so my Saturn can be read. Also just swapped the Stock AM/FM only radio for an AM/FM/CD/Cass radio. No longer am I restricted to the Radio now for tunes! I can utilize my own again!

I haven't gotten home from work yet, but today is radio upgrade day for me too! I'm going non-stock though, I just can't take my beat up cassette deck only having 3 working buttons and not accepting tapes any longer. I'm going to run dedicated power to get the stereo off the F5 circuit, so this will be an adventure of sorts for me.
