Default Good control arm brand

Hello! I will be replacing the lower control arms on my Saturn SL2 in the next couple weeks. I know aftermarket ball joint parts can have pretty poor quality. Does anybody have any brand (reboxers and all) recommendations that they have had good experiences with? Anything on Rockauto good? Or is it pretty much a dice roll with everything?

Thank you!

Moog/Federal Mogul tends to be decent quality in my experience. I don't think they make ones with Zerk fittings for the ball joint.

FiremanCV has a nice video on replacing Saturn S-series Ball Joints/Control Arms

O'Reilly Auto sells an LCA assembly, that has the grease fitting for periodic maintenance, as well. Don't know about quality.

Federal-Mogul makes very high-quality parts, as well.

I installed Mevotech CMK5311/CMK5313 from RockAuto on my 99 SL2 about a year ago and so far so good. I have about 12K mi on them now and they do have grease fittings. I took a gamble on them because they have grease zerks. I noticed the photo on RockAuto is not correct; the spec says they are greasable.

If you get ones with grease zerks I recommend replacing the supplied ones with 90 degree zerks. You can grease the LCA without taking the wheel off if you do this.

I have Moog RK5311/RK5313 on my 01 SL1 and they were installed more than 3 years ago and have at least 24K mi on them. They are not greasable and I've had no issues with them.

I bought some from RA, that have grease fittings, OK but the alignment was slightly off (I corrected in my garage later).

Several years ago (when a bunch of parts suppliers went bankrupt), I asked a
reputable, 3rd generation auto repair shop where to get suspension parts.
He suggested to go to NAPA and ask for the 'Dana' line.

TRW had a good reputation... i ordered some control arms from them; they were mfgd in Taiwan.
