Default Fuel pump brand

In 275,000 miles the car has never failed to start (other than occasional battery). Drove down to San Jose and it didnít start. Banging on the tank eventually got it started.
Whatís the best brand (even if itís $$)? Denso makes one. Or is junk yard better? I know there are really bad aftermarket ones there.

I would never pull a fuel pump from a wreck, always go with new. Denso is good, and around $70 off ebay.

Carter and you may have to do some searching for the part numbers as it is the complete pump unit. There are 2 98 and newer and then 97 and older. Nothing else is recommended.

RockAuto has it: CARTER P74949M also check Amazon and eBay for best price.

What became of Delphi? They used to be good.

Delphi is gone and AC Delco is a reboxer of the generic aftermarket part at a higher price.
