Default What is my SC2 trying to tell me?

I recently purchased a '97 SC2, and it's got a quirk that I can't get explained: when I open either door, the hazards and fog lamps flash 15 times. No other indication that anything is "wrong" that I can see, and the previous owner can't offer anything. Any thoughts?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Maybe something in the electrical system. Was there anything aftermarket installed on this car? Is the battery an older battery? Maybe the battery is starting to go south?

Does the car have power locks / RKE?

Brand new battery (I just replaced it this afternoon), no aftermarket add-ons that I can find, and no power locks/RKE.

See if you can hook the car up to a scanner, or have the car scanned at your local parts store and see if there are any codes?

This is a shot in the dark, but *Maybe* the PCM was replaced from another car and the car is just doing the flashing lights thing because of some kind of electrical "check" that it goes through to verify that the lights work properly?
