Default l200 fuel pump

How much should it cost to replace a L200 fuel pump? Why is it so expensive?

That is a pain. Well the pump alone cost around $326.00 yea that much i know i just put mine in my car and the labor well i did it myself with my buddy. Tell you the truth its not easy so mechanics are going to charge you alot. One really good tip if your going to do it yourself be certain that the gas tank is empty i learned the hard way. Anyways yea its a pretty expensive job do it yourself will be alot cheaper.

I had mine done recently, like a month ago at an indy shop. The GM Pump & new filter were in the 350 range. ANd then it was 3 hours of labour. They explained you had to remove the exhaust to remove the tank... and this was a two man hold the pipe and one guy unbolt. They did not think you could do it on your drive way. You will need the car up pretty good to work underneath. Nor problem if you have a lift in a shop...

...
The dipstick for the 710 fluid says "ADD"...Where do you buy 710 fluid ?

I would say so.

Just realize that half your labour charge is to cover all of the taxes associated with having a service bay with a technician to do the work.

Default Re: l200 fuel pump

My gas tank is leaking near the top of the tank only when the engine is running so I'm expecting to find a bad fuel pump assy. I'm a good mechanic but now I'm thinking twice after reading how difficult a driveway job would be. I'm also trying to find a thread on how to remove the gas tank. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
