I purchased new sensors for the wheels. Only thing left to do is goto a GM dealership to activate them. Thanks for the comments everyone.

look in your owners manual... it's close to the back of the manual for my '09.... tells you how to do it yourself

Hey thanks Chilipepper, didn't realize that was something I could do myself. You just saved me $45 CDN plus taxes.

On a side note, if anyone needs sensors other than OEM, I got my wheels and sensors from Mr Wheel Deal. He has a website http://www.mrwheeldeal.com but you can email him at sales@sdwheelcorp.com

Here in Canada, the OEM sensors are $150 plus taxes (each) but through him it was ALOT lower. I can't disclose the price as I'm not sure if he priced it out as a package with my wheels, but it is quite a bit lower. They are, to my knowledge, aftermarket sensors but as long as they do the same thing, I'm happy.

The sensors are also readily available on eBay. I bought a set of 4 for under $50.

all this air pressure sensor business is new to me.... our '09 Vue is the first vehicle we've owned that has them, but from what I understand they are now required by law (at least in the US) on vehicles under 10,000 lbs gross weight. Just more government regulation to absorb our money if you ask me.

I did notice on O'Reilly Auto Parts web site (don't know if O'Reilly's has stores in your areas or not) they have 'service kits' for sensors which is basically a kit to replace the valve stem and grommets so you can have new valve stems when installing new tires and be able to re-use your sensors. Cost is about $4.99 per wheel. It is absurd to me to have to buy new sensors when buying new tires. Someone is making a lot of money off of people who don't know any better.

I know you don't have to replace the sensors when you get new tires, but I got new tires and wheels, and I didn't want to pull my winter tires off my OEM alloys to take off the sensors there...

I used CF vinyl to cover the red plastic in the emblems
