Welcome to the SaturnFans Forum! It's unfortunate for you that there were far fewer L's with the manual transmission and that may make it more difficult to locate the manifold you're looking for.

Some specialty engine rebuilding shops may be able to weld the manifold if it isn't fully broken, but that's only a distant possibility. Try looking around on the link below. It has wrecking yard information from around the US, Canada, and Mexico.

I hadn't even thought of looking into the new GM parts websites. Another site to view has it priced somewhat lower:

http://catalog.gmpartsdirect.co/?i=2...n=7&type=parts

Yet another site prices them really high:

http://gm-partscenter.com/parts/2001...iagram=IC00250

gmpartsdirect.com seems to have removed Saturn from its catalog.

That was the first site I checked.

The site you mentioned above is not the same as the one I recommended. The one listed above is ".com" and my recommended site is ".co." Strangely enough, they aren't the same site. http://gmpartsdirect.co/

I have had this issue. Manifold cracked and flex pipe went. Was able to weld the cracks, but went with custom down pipe.

Eventually I will be putting my pacsetter exhaust manifold on. Most that I have found have had luck, but no one has tried it on a manual before.

If you go custom, make sure you get someone that is good. I broke the first custom flex pipe because the angle that it was welded at was not the best.

take the cracked manifold to an expert welder who has a stainless MIG welder setup, and it CAN be welded. I had one welded and it lasted about 3 years. Buy a spare used cracked one and weld that too. When the one cracks again, change it out and weld the other one again. They eventually crack on both sides of the weld.

Saw this and it got me wondering, is the exhaust manifold different from manual to auto tranny's on the 2003 l200 as well?

Yes. The exhaust pipe goes UNDER the steering rack for the MT. The AT exhaust pipe goes OVER. That, combined with the fact that the engine sits 2" farther back with the MT, means the exhaust manifold runners are much more straight down from the head than for the AT. I think one of the reasons for the different exhaust routing is to avoid the shift mechanism on the manual.

Damn I hope not... I am hoping my pecsetter will go over the rack when ever I get the time to do it...

@Frostman- There should be room to go over the rack, but you may have to do some fancy routing and make some heat shields, etc. to keep from cooking/melting things. Have a look on yours.
