Default 99 sw2 rebuild

Ok so my girlfriend had bought a 99 sw2 but failed to check the oil and now its locked up. I plan on doing the rebuild and thanks to lurking on the wonderful forums for the past month i know a diy will cost me around 1600 but i would like a guide online if anyone has any links

There is no such thing as a DIY rebuild your seized engine guide.

The 99 head is different than the 98 and older but all the principals are the same.

2 different approaches to the same end. Do not buy a rebuilt head over the internet from anybody, you will regret it. Do not buy parts of of eBay either.

Yea i was being a bit too hasty with my post. I was in the planning stage of rebuild when she siezed. Ive seen that your spot on from my lurking. Which way would you go? If my head is fine which year? If not which saturn engine is more reliable that can essentially bolt in without alot of mods.
