I made some YouTube videos, after installing those speakers and drove the SC2 to the Library, for uploading them. Then to the laundromat, and to get dinner. I made sure to add oil to it, like usual, before driving.

Installed a first gen DOHC 2 intake tube, manly because I like how it looks, but it seems to of actually made a performance boost. The vroom Sounds a heck of allot nicer too.

Hey guys, new to the Saturn forum. Picked up a 95 SC1 SOHC auto with 182522 on the body, engine has about 22k on rebuild. Got it down in NC. Ran a little rough, but after a tune up and finding #3 plug fouled it runs better. So Today I have replaced the passenger side mirror, PO looks to have used a 4 door mirror on the car, I did plugs and wires, replace all the exterior bulbs with new, used Meguire's head light restore on the headlights and the reverse lights, a lot brighter. Also upgrade headlight bulbs to Sylvania Ultra's. Tomorrow will be lower control arms due to ball joints being shot.
Yesterday I replaced all 4 speakers with a set of JVC 6.5" and the head unit came out and a double din touch screen Pioneer I had from one of my previous vehicles. I would post pics but it isn't letting me till I get more posts in. But that is the car in my Avatar pic. |

I tried to repair my Cb antenna with no luck. Someone tried to yank it out of the roof hole. luckily it was secured on the inside. Gotta order a new roof mount.

Because Neon lights are the best, picture makes them look brighter then they are and is easy to drive with. It's no longer a black abyss, front and back lights are controlled separately.

I didn't do anything to mine, but I did go to the junkyard to practice taking apart the front bumper of a SL1. It looked like it was side swiped. It's great making mistakes when it isn't your own car.

changing out the clutch today.
Original owner, original clutch @ 265,000 miles. Great car, no major problems. This is my largest repair yet. Cluthch is slipping, so purchased new: - Clutch Kit - Pressure Plate, Disc, Throwout Bearing - slipping - Drivers side CV Joint/ Drive Shaft as boot was torn - New brake pads - nearly worn out I'm debating if I should put in new clutch slave/ master cylinder combination ... it is working now, but from a preventative maintenance perspective. Do we think the original will last the life of the car? Another question, I seem to replace the EGR frequently as the car has aged, it runs rough, I replace it and it runs well for 20k miles, then need it again. I figure this is the age Given the mileage, I only replace what I have to these days. Example: When I purchased set of 40k miles tires @ 220k, I said last set of tires. I put on another set of 40k mile tires @ 260k, I said last set of tires.

Does not sound right to me. Not sure when I replaced my original, but haven't had any issues since - maybe 25K miles ago. You have other issues there. Where are you buying the 'new' ones from?
