MMO used to come in that kind of can (as did a lot of floor care products, thinners, etc). For something this strong, it needs a spout that threads onto the cap threads. Articulated metal spout from an old '60s gas can might fit.

ak (I get about 400 miles per quart of oil). I used Auto Rx (an old BITOG favorite) in the 2001 a couple summers ago; it cleaned up the dipstick and the oil doesn't get as dirty as it used to, oil consumption is about a quart in 1,000 miles. |

I ran some Kreen in my oil (about a cup) for 1K before changing my oil and did an overnight piston soak. Oil consumption is pretty much the same but my dipstick is clean.

2002 SL2, 129K original miles. DD uses it for her daily.
Finally am going to try the Kreen soak after having the can of it on the shelf for a year. Must have gotten redesigned can, as this was easy to pour. I used 500 mL syringe to remove from can top, placing 60 mL / 2 oz into cylinder once I removed plugs. Oil rate 1 qt per 1500 has gotten to 1 qt per 500 miles. With frequent check/top off of oil, I use dino 5w30. I have had a couple of cases of it that I bought at auction cheap, all meets spec, 5w30 Motorcraft. Plan is to allow to soak x 36 hurs, vacuum out of engine, place 6 oz into fuel with non enthnol fuel filled, run for 50 miles, drain oil and replce filter. Will let you know how it goes. |
