Default 2nd A1 Cardone pump still very noisy

After speaking with the A1 Cardone support folks I went ahead and tried another of their pumps. Boy its still noisy. Not the low whine you usually hear from air trapped but a very high whine all the time. I guess I'll go back to the original pump. I only changed it because I had to remove it to change the high pressure line. I was getting steering fluid all over the place and can't really tell where it was coming from by the line was the most likely cause.
I spent way too much time on these pumps, pulling vacuum, trying to bleed etc.

They do not get air bound and jacking up the front end and cycling the steering completely purges and refills the system. A whining pump is a worn out pump.
The vanes and vane slots in the rotor wear and then they start getting noisy. Sometimes a bit higher viscosity fluid quiets the noise for a period of time. As only the soft goods are replaced on a rebuild you end up with a possibly leak tight worn out mechanically pump.

Wouldn't a rebuilt pump include new veins and rotor? These are basically the same pumps we use for vacuum on aircraft at a fraction of the price.

As far as I have been able to determine there are no replacement vane-rotor sets. That is the problem with rebuilts, the main wear component is not replaced.

Clean high quality ATF is what keeps these pumps running for a long time.

Do you have a process to do a fluid change?

I've not specifically done a flush but at this point i've replaces the lines once and the pump 3 times so I'm sure the fluid has flushed through. The original pump was not noisy, just these replacements.

Yea, here's the confirmation from A1 Cardone...
"Vanes and rotor are remanufactured but they need to meet dimensional specifications and after that a visual inspection is perform to void bad components are built in"

Not sure what reman'd means. Do they sand them down to smooth them out?
