Default Good Selling Amount?

i Have a 2000 saturn sl1 with a 132,000 miles on it. Its a automatic im trying to figure out what would be a good selling amount for it. It has a transmission problem it grinds out of reverse but shifts thru all other gears just fine Really just looking for a ballpark range

Thanks

Location? Options? Maintenance? Here in Indiana that would go for around $1,200 or so highly depending on many factors.

I find that kbb.com does a very good job of giving estimates based on options and where you live.

Don't expect anything near book price with a transmission problem. That generally puts you in the $ 500 or less range

Agreed. People shopping in this range can't afford any problems so the sell price tanks.

Don't be one of those craigslist sellers: "it's an easy fix." If it's an easy fix then fix it and charge more.

Check how much it will cost to fix the transmissions problem. If it's around $300 then you should be able to sell it for $1500.

(I was looking at a Mercedes-Benz and it was shifting great until 10minutes into the drive. I popped out and checked the transmission fluid stick and found flakes of wood dust... :-)
