Tranny surging at low speed..Vue..03

03'..3.0 liter...

Decelerating at lower speeds ..30/40 miles per hour..and then holding steady I have been getting this surging...The transmission is having problems deciding which gear to run on...This happens when decelerating because of traffic and then trying to pick speed back up...in the lower speed ranges where it is shifting down for a lower speed...Runs fine accelerating from a stop. Any ideas?

I have a '03 with a 3.0L. I have had problems similar to yours. It may be one of the following problems (as I have dealt with them).

1. transmission control module. GM dealer scanned the trouble code. Module had failed. Replaced and problem fixed. It was pricey.
   
2. water from the sunroof drain flooded connections. There are several connectors behind the kick panel beside the passenger's right foot (front seat). If you have a sunroof, and the drain is clogged, the water will flow along the right pillar and over the connectors. A Saturn dealer found the problem and fixed the sunroof drains and cleaned the connectors. Was an 80$ job (about a decade ago).
   
3. transmission fluid change. Saturn did change its recommended fluid change schedule (from the published schedule in the owners manual) to about 50,000 miles. If your fluid has not been changed, look up the procedure on YouTube.

Yeah, number one happened to me ( 8 - 10 years ago?)...lost some gears after going to the floor on the gas petal to pass a truck..Got home in 2nd I think...tcm.. 700$...
I hope thats not the problem...Wonder if they can even find them anymore?
