i posted a few months ago about loose bulbs in the center high mount. now several of the bulbs are burnt out(they're black so i'm guessing this is what that means). someone on the thread about the loose bulbs mentioned something about taking the bulbs out of the bracket and replacing just the bulbs as this was a much MUCH cheaper option. my question is, i found the correct bulbs, but i cannot seem to get the bulbs out of the blue bracket, any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. is there something i'm not doing, i've tried grabbing the bulbs and pulling, and i've tried messing with the little tabs on the sides of the brackets, and i've also tried pushing up through the bottom of the bracket.

If they're PC168 bulbs you can buy replacements for lower cost now that they're available in more stores or try this mod; http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...ht=pc168+lamps, post #6.

The little tabs on the OEM brackets are spot welded. I just break them off with needle nose plyers before pulling the bulb out.

quick update: after slicing my finger all to heck i got all the little tabs broken off and replaced the bulbs and put them in my car, and stepped on the brakes...nothing. i decided i broke the brackets so i called around to the same autozone where i was told they were 10 dollars a piece last year and was told they no longer carried them. i called o'reillys auto parts and they carried them, for 1.78 per bulb...bracket included. so 6 of them only cost me 10.71.
