I was wondering if there is a supercharger pulley out for the 2.0 yet. If so how much gain does it make.

Also does the stock intake flow as good as aftermarkets?

If i bought a Redline which i want to but can't afford it, I would put on a custom 3" exhaust with a less restrictive muffler. All forced induction cars should have 3" piping. I would also take out the resornator box to the air filter and put on a cone filter Should get you atleast 10 ponies to the wheels. From what i read about other FI cars bigger exhaust help out a heck of a lot.

I think 3" is over kill. Most 4 cylinders max out at 2.5. Good idea on the intake.

No, Look at the SRT-4 they are seeing upwards of 15hp with a 3inch exhaust. We could potentially make the same.

thats fine and dandy if u dont mind losing most..if not all of the so-cal lowend torque from the motor.

DOHC Brown what makes you such an expert? From what I have generally heard all Forced Induction motors benefit from larger exhaust and for a 4 Cylinder that happens to be 3 in. Now, I could see losing some, but why would you lose all?

Now, I don't know about other people but I can't go full throttle in first gear without wheel hop or loss of traction. So less torque wouldn't be a bad thing. I usually short shift to second anyways, as to get traction.

All is an exaggeration, but horsepower is a take some/lose some game. Adding a CAI or less restrctive exhaust usually changes the horsepower and torque curves upward. No need to snip at other members here - he was just stating a fact that some people might not know about.

While this is the case with the SRT4 you have to remember turbo chargers and SC's are different...A turbo flows best with ZERO exhaust...I do not think a SC works in the same fashion!

Huh?

They are both FI, and both benefit massivly with a 3" or LARGER exhaust, nice thing about a S/C is you dont need as much back pressure (because it belt driven) as a Turbo.

I heard if you use a Pine-scented car deodorizer on a Supercharged car that it increases HP by about 5 as opposed to 3 on a turbo charged car. Also I hear that you realize the best gains if you have one of those scented King crowns on your dash with a .04mm offset from dead-center. Anyone tells you any different they're like on crack or something..............

don't forget the flip up switch that dispenses febreeze on demand, i hear that'll net you around .6 hp!

either way, i'm pretty sure a s/c doesn't need backpressure as air is being forced into the engine, pumping it right out the other end after being used up, but i'm also pretty sure that if you reduce backpressure, you need enough boost to make it benificial (i think it may be a lower actual boost above atmospheric pressure than if you had a smaller exhaust, but you're flowing more air). if i am wrong please correct me

actually you just need a huge aluminum wing and a few apc stickers on your ride for huge HP gains
