2001 L-Series 2.2L Sedan
Default L200 brake noise

Hi, this is my first post here. I have searched and not found anything related to the noise I'm getting.
We have a 2001 ls200 and since bought used, it has had a recurring rotational brake noise. We bought the car and heard a rubbing noise from the brakes when applied. The dealer "took care" of the problem by claiming to resurface the brake drums and rotors and new brake pads. Afterwards the problems continued including getting a low brake pedal due to a spring that would keep coming off the left rear brake shoe e-brake adjuster. Even new hardware, wheel cylinders and shoes would do the same after driven a few days. We now have that problem fixed but the noise is still there.
I work in a dealer service dept (not Saturn or GM) and my techs have done several things to try to get the noise gone to no avail. It sounds like a pad or shoe scrubbing a rotor or drum but they say it all looks o.k. If the place we bought it from did all they said (not where I work) then there should be no issue with the rotors/drums although I think resurfacing again or replacing may eliminate one more thing in my quest for quiet brakes.
Has anyone run into something similar like this before? Otherwise the car is great.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

check the pistons on your brake calipers and see if they are hanging up or they are damaged.

Well the noise is now gone. Had to machine the rear drums, the left rear was very out of round and had a slight lip on the outside edge, even though it never vibrated or felt a shake.
