2003 VUE 2.2L
Default Hey Guys!

Hey guys! My name is Kyle, and I'm a 16 year old (ooh noes!) haha. I'm not a typical 16 year old though, I didn't go out and buy a 1992 Honda and rice it out, instead, I bought a 2003 Saturn Vue. I just bought it last Monday, and I've been established on car forums before, (Cobaltss.net, Escape-city.com) because those were the two cars I was really looking at. I did kinda end up getting a Cobalt though, since I got the same powertrain pretty much.

Doing some poking around on the forums, I'm kinda happy that it seems I got the best engine/tranny combo for the 2003 year, the 2.2L and 5 speed. I've gotten the hang of the manual in just 3 days, only stalled it once because I forgot the parking brake was up. Granted, I did get a little practice on my Dad's Mustang.

So I'm hoping this forum will turn out like the rest! I do have one question though, is there a limit for pictures posted in a thread? I looked around a little but I couldn't find an answer. I want to post some pics of my fresh whip!

Very nice! My first car was a 02 Elantra GLS. No it wasnt riced but it was my first (got it around 18 yrs old). Had it for like 2 years but it was a money pit. Finally got disgusted with dumping more money into the car than it was worth and ditched it. Bought my 03 Vue when 20, (Im 21 now) it had 78,300 miles. Despite having the bad transmission (CVT) mine seems to be behaving itself right now, infact in the almost one year of ownership, only things done to the car have been oil changes. Havent needed to meddle with anything on it, and at 83,000 mi now, i know its a good car thats going to last me another 83,000 miles, if not longer.

Good luck with the car and welcome to the forum. Saturns definitely arent luxury vehicles but are affordable, reliable cars that last a good while.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Default Re: Hey Guys!

Well I was looking at Chevy Cobalts and 2000's Mustangs, so I wasn't really looking for high quality :P

I'm very happy with my VUE so far, it's got nice power for the 4 cylinder and it shifts awesome. I'd post pics, but I have to wait until 15 posts

I've always liked the Outlook, it's very nice looking! My Aunt was actually looking at one back in '07 but ended up getting an Equinox instead.
