Default What to do with the saturn now

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am glad to have found this site. It took awhile to figure it out. I have a 2000 LS with 65,000 miles. I have since learned that it is worth less than $2000 if that. What are Saturn owners doing now that the Saturns are practically worthless because of going out of business? how long should I keep the car. Like an idiot, I just spent $1600 on suspension before checking that the car was worth that much. I have enjoyed the car--but I have to get rid of it by next year. Thanks.

i dont think the reason its worth 2000 dollars is because its a saturn. it more likly because its a 10 year old 2000 car. nothing against the car.

customers seem to still be buying used saturns. some think about the fact that saturn is gone but they still seem to love saturn and still buy the cars. prices are probably down some but not a whole lot.

Ohh it was so long ago when Oldsmobile was cut from GM and you know what? PEOPLE ARE STILL buying them and there parts
Your saturn has depreciated over the past ten years as all vehicles do.
Drive it into the ground if you want to get your moneys worth.
Gm will be just fine taking care of there saturn people

It's just me, but I will hang onto mine as long as possible. My Saturn has a great safety record, before the mandatory addition of corn (ethenol) to the gasoline it regularly got around 50 mpg on the highway and is a pleasure to drive. It has a little leak, I think in the clutch (not sure on this) now, but I will get it fixed. Where else is there such a good car?
So what I plan to do with my Saturn now? Take as good a care of him as possible, because nothing made now can come close to being as good!

Agreed. The moment one or more of the following happen:

1) engine pops
2) transmission/transaxle pops
3) axle(s) pop
and/or 4) car gets declared a total

it's gone.
