Changing the APP sensor (2006 Ion)
Has anyone performed this operation?
I plan on doing this in the coming days and it appears pretty straight forward.
Any guidance will be appreciated (neither the dealer or secondary mechanic will be acceptable suggestions).

Re: Changing the APP sensor (2006 Ion)
You can just replace the sensor, as a matter of fact that's all I can find info on.
remove the left lower closeout panel
remove the left lower heater duct
using a flashlight, locate the app on the top of the pedal arm
it's on a bracket, remove the electrical connector
follow the pedal arm all the way to the top where it connects to the APP sensor linkage by a link rod and heim joint, remove the retainer and disconnect the link rod from the APP linkage arm.
