Dizzy 2001 SC2 starting issue

My 01 SC2 has about 192,000 miles and suddenly developed this issue. Started twice yesterday with no issues and haven't had issues previous to yesterday. Went to start it a third time and got no response at all. New battery is a month old, headlights did not dim, idiot lights worked fine, etc. No battery noise, no starter noise, nothing, just the click of the ignition switch. All gauges responding as well. Push started it, (manual tranny of course), started and ran. Made it home 22 miles without incident. Got home, shut it off and started it 3 times like nothing ever happened. Today, same issue, turn the key, nothing happens. Lights strong, etc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Don

192k miles on the original starter? Replace it, its worn out. Since there's no mileage warranty on starters, they can last anywhere from as little as 50k miles to well beyond 250k miles. Frequent short trips wear out starters with little mileage while extended highway driving tends to make a starter seem to last forever when its really the mileage that goes up and has no effect on starter longevity.
