24 years old,

1998 Dodge Caravan: given to me from my folks, now my brother drives it - I think it has 220,000+kms (136k miles) on it now

1998 Saturn SC1 5-speed: bought at 110,000kms, drove as pizza delivery car, got hit at 166,000kms (103k miles) - totaled out by insurance

2001 Saturn SL1 5-speed: to replace the SC1 - bought at 105,000kms, now has 127,000 (79k miles).

19.5

1997 Oldsmobile Bravada. First vehicle and it only had 78K on it. Nothing major happened with it, loved the stability and traction in the winter. Drove it for about 10K miles but couldn't stand (or afford) getting 15MPG city (12MPG in the winter) out of a 190HP 4.3 V6. Still have it but now my sister drives it, blew a water pump at 89?K miles

1992 Geo Metro XFi 5 Spd. Given to me for free by a neighbor (who had about 10 cars, when one would break down they would get another one). Had been sitting for 2 years and I had to redo all the brake lines. Fun little car to screw around in (and learn how to drive a stick which took me about a day). Very unreliable, left me and a friend stranded in downtown Flint late at night with a bad alternator. It liked to chew through serpentine belts and then throw them off without warning (went through about 8 of them at around $15 a pop) Decided it was too unreliable to use 150 miles from home at college and sold it.

1990 Buick Park Avenue. Loved how many options this car had and how comfortable it was. Way ahead of its time for a 1990. Planned on taking it to school this year because it had the bulletproof 3800 with only 80K miles on it. Found out I was only getting about 18MPG overall and it had some A/C issues as well as rust issues underneath. Sold it.

1994 Saturn SC2 5 spd. Picked it up with 178K on the clock. Very questionable maintenance history but I got it for cheap. Threw new brakes and tires all around. New ECTS of course as well as plugs and wires. New headliner and a few other things. Its going through a quart every 1400 miles so far but I am getting mid 20's city and mid 30's freeway MPG-wise. Love driving a stick (really wanted another after the Geo) plus the hills and city traffic around here make it more of a challenge Overall this is probably my favorite car so far, I don't really know why because it isn't in the greatest shape cosmetically but it is really growing on me...

...
Former DD: 1994 SC2 5spd. 190K, being sold to a friend

2005 Saturn ION 2 5spd. 73K

1995 Aquamarine SL2
1.9L DOHC 5spd. ~125K Miles

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Thumbs Up Re: How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

35 years young here.

Here are the cars I have owned, in order:

1981 Chevy Citation (V-6 Hatchback); 1991-1992
Loved this car. Bought it for $1100; and had 100K on the clock. Wrecked it after 8 months of ownership trying to get onto the highway when it was raining just enough to bring the goop out of the pavement. Anit-lock brakes my ass. Took the retaining wall, and I remember doing 2 1/2 360s. Dash lit up like a Christmas Tree and I remember seeing the Passenger seat flying forward in slow motion. Just me in the car, with a small cut on my knuckle. If I would have had a passenger in the car, they would have died for sure. Wish I had this car still. Loved that V-6 engine.

1986 Chevy Chevette: 1993-1997
Had this for 4 years. White exterior, Blue Interior. Little Auto 4 cylinder. Got me where I needed to go. It worked. Had 137K miles on it when I sold it for $300 and had an oil leak in it.

1994 Saturn SC1: 1997-Present
The 1994 SC1 that I still own, was my first Saturn. Bought with 59K miles on it when it was 3 years old. Still have this car (listed in my sig). Even though I am the 2nd owner; may as well be the original owner...the car stands currently with 340,501 miles on the original engine/auto trans. Needs a rebuild.

1992 Saturn SL1: 2001-2005
Second Saturn that I purchased, after convincing my wife and "Converting" her; this was my wife's daily driver for a few years. Traded it in on the VUE.

1991 Saturn SC: 2002-2008
Was going to restore this as my "pet project". I learned how to do a partial engine teardown on this car; after wanting to restore to factory showroom. Budget constraints forced me to sell.

1994 Saturn SL2: 2007-Present
Was going to be a 3rd car for me and my wife to use in between me driving the 94 SC1 and my wife driving the VUE, but the accident with the VUE changed all that.

2005 Saturn VUE: 2005-2008
Loved the VUE. Was a lease vehicle. We were going to buy off of the lease, but the vehicle was involved in a one car accident on the highway involving my wife and at the time 13 month old son, on the highway in heavy rain with a construction tarp. The VUE was totalled, but my wife and son walked away without a scratch.

1997 Saturn SW2: 2008-Present
Flew to Boston, bought the car from member Ftruscot; drove the car home 1035 miles home to Cincinnati. Just recently drove the car from Cincinnati to Myrtle Beach. Car has been great and is my wife's daily driver.

1994 Saturn SL2 Homecoming Edition: 2009-Present
My "toy". Some of you may laugh, but with this being 1 of 3500 cars made for the 1994 Homecoming Edition; I'm restoring this and it will be my weekend car as well as just driving for fun. This will be garage kept and will only be driven periodically. To a Saturn enthusiast, as myself, this car is a nice piece to have (although one of the 2001 SC2 "99" cars would be nice to have too)....

That's all for right now....although it would still be cool to find a 1994 SW2 that is in good working condition, then I would have all 3 trim lines for the 1994 model year.
