Default How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

Don't know if anyone ever did this with the S-series, but it's here just to be sure.

Anyhow, I'm 23, and bought the Saturn on may 30th, 2007. I also bought my van on July 10th, but didn't get the damn thing titled till a month later , and now it's going to the dump, asap.

your turn!

28, purchased 4/29/2003 with 23,800 miles. Before me, not sure of its history, but it was in perfect shape. The most major repairs were the clutch replacement over labor day, after I let someone overfill my transmission and the leaking trans. fluid contaminated the clutch. All's good now, and no leaking with the fluid at the correct height and not replacing the quill seal (yeah, got lucky). At one point, got 45 mpg back in 2006 on a trip back from MN.

...
Sasha: 2000 SL1, Manual, 130,500 miles 5-18-2014.

I learn from my experiences. If I screw up, I'm sorry.

Default Re: How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

20 years old.

First vehicle was a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup. Bought it on my birthday (April 19th) 2005 with 126,000 on the odometer. Pretty much my baby until I got sideswiped back in April, at which point I fell out of love with it. Got tired of working on body stuff, and sold it. Ran like a champ, never broke down on me, just had a really bad oil leak and needed quite a bit of TLC on the body. Sold him November 1st with 151,000 on the odometer.

Second vehicle is my 2002 Saturn SC2. Bought it October 28th, 2009 for $2500 with 112,600 on the odometer and 86,000 on the engine. In the process of doing a full "tuneup" because God only knows how long it's been. Got plugs, wires, oil, and air filter done, and I'm gonna do the trans fluid and filter this weekend. Thus far it's a great car. A few little quirks that apparently are quite normal, but nothing that has me "OMG MAH CAR IZ GUNNA DYE".

22 My history:

95' SC2
97' Chevy Cavalier
97' SC2

My 95 sc2 ended up getting totalled while I was driving home from a skiing trip . . . stupid 17 year old driver + a county that only uses sand, no salt on their roads = totaled car. I had to get a car quickly, which ended up being a cavalier. The cavalier was sold and replaced as soon as I had the chance, which was about 6 months later.

I've been happy ever since with my 97' sc2, i've had it more than 2 years now : )

18 yrs

First car was a 1993 plymoth sundance. I called that sucker the war wagon because it was a fierce black and squealed and clunked like a monster.

2nd is my 96 sl2, bought it around valentine's day 07, had been run in to on the passenger side on a two-lane one way road, some dumbass in a semi switched lanes right over the top of it. Paid a pretty penny to save my little green machine. Got a decent settlement out of it.

I'm 25 and here are the cars i've owned, in order

1. 83 Pontiac Grand Prix stuffed with 400Big block out of a 69 GTO (blue)
2. 93 Saturn SC-2 (black)
3. 86 Nissan 300ZX turbo (gold)
4. 94 Saturn SL-2 (blue)
5. 88 Mustang GT hatchback (red)
6. 92 saturn SC (silver)
7. 99 Ford Mustang GT convertible (black)
8. 93 Saturn SC-2 (Red)
9. 98 Saturn SL-2 (white)
10. 2000 Saturn SL-2 (primer black)
11. 2004 Saturn Ion Redline (black)
12. 96 Saturn SW-2 (maroon)
13. 88 Mazda RX-7 (gold)
14. 85 Toyota Celica Supra P-type (black)
15. 88 Mazda RX-7 (red)
16. 88 Mazda RX-7 with 351W swap and C4 trans (blue)
17. 97 Saturn SC-2 (green)

I also still have a 2007 Suzuki M-50 motorcycle that I brought new back in May of 07 right after starting my job with NGK as a gift to myself lol.

All cars have been sold and I only have the 97 SC-2 right now as my daily.

When I was 14 my dad brought home the 83 Grandprix and we worked on it for the next two years building it till I could drive (legally). Also when I was 16 I bought my first Saturn the 93 coupe which was my daily driver and the grand Prix was only ever driven in the summer and to special events. I eventually traded the Grand Prix for the Mustang (big mistake). I had the 93 SC-2 till I was 21 and it went though two different turbo setups and nitrous, bolt ons, etc. The 92 SC-2 and the Red 93 SC-2 were also turbocharged. My latest project was the V-8 swap in my 88 RX-7 which I unfrotunately sold in the summer so I could buy my house

...
07' Saturn Sky 2.4L (T3/T4 turbo, 60's, HP tuners)
13' Ram 1500 HEMI
02' Saab Viggen (one of 71)
93' SC-2 project car (summer drag toy)

Some god-awful '74 Impala about 8mpg downhill
'78 Cutlass
'86 ZuZu Trooper 2 2.2L Turbo Diesel
'98 SC2
'01 F-350 Superduty 7.4L Turbo Diesel 4x4 (wow! no tailgaters! everybody is so polite!) Almost un-controlable in low range

Next Poll:
What brand of vehicle most often runs up your 'a--' while you're in your saturn?
Overall, I find Chrysler products to be the most irritating tailgaters.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
