76 Chevette (driven into a telephone pole by older brother)
63 Plymouth Sport Fury (sold - couldn't afford insurance)
79 F150 (donated to my brother (younger brother - not the Chevette killer))
84 GMC High Sierra (totaled by drunk kid)
79 VW Rabbit (burned - electrical fire)
89 Ford Escort (first new car! GF ran w/o oil for 2 weeks - scrapped)

03 Trailblazer (Lease)
06 Town & Country (Lease)
08 Saturn Aura (lease)
10 Town & Country (33Kmi)

That's one vehicle every 1.74 years (since I could legally ride a motorcycle on the roads at 14 back in those days)
Wow! nice list lol. I got crap on the vue when I bought it complaining the car was old and all but it has yet to have one issue to be honest. Only things ive ever "fixed" was change the 3rd brake light bulbs and replace the liftgate support. Otherwise, change oil, rotate the tires. Runs like a beast. Just doesnt like sitting in the cold...new plugs and fuel filter at 100,000 will probably sort that.

2006 ION-3 Quad Coupe
Default Re: How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

I might as well post.

20, and have driven three vehicles:

1999 Toyota Tacoma base model. It was my step father's that I used to get to and from school and work until my mom and I could find a good car for me. I don't consider it my first car.

2006 Saturn Ion 3 quad coupe- The works. Leather, you name it, she had it. Totaled it going around a curve on a country road and rolled it into a ditch.

2006 Saturn Ion 3 quad coupe- Less frilly, but is in overall better shape than the previous one. The previous owner really took good care of it. And I haven't totaled this one!

...
Elizabeth

'06 Level 3 Quad Coupe. 140K as of 5-3-15. Traded for 2015 Chevy SS. Gone but not forgotten.

Current: 2017 2LT/RS 50th Anniversary Camaro

34.

Left for college in 1996 driving a 1974 Oldsmobile Toronado (455, FWD, life was good). Kept it until I joined the military and I gave it away to a guy who restores Oldsmobiles.
In 2000 I bought a 1999 Ford Contour SE Sport for $18K. I loved that car. All power, sunroof, V6. After 96K miles, third gear went to crap. Sold it for $2300.
Sometime after that I started driving my wife's second car. A bare naked, white 1991 SL1. When it hit 200K miles and was still running fine I sold it to a fellow servicemember for $350.
In 2006 I bought a 2002 SC1 for my wife. Four days later she told me she was pregnant. Guess what! I got the SC1 and she eventually got a new 2007 Toyota Matrix.

I'm 29. I'll limit it to vehicles I actually paid for since the rest was me just borrowing vehicles from my parents.

In order:

1998 Chevrolet Malibu - Dad totaled this one when I was living abroad in Japan
1991 Honda Accord - Actually the parents car, but they owed me one
2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS - This was the permanent replacement for the Malibu
2002 Saturn SL2 - I daily drive this in the summer and park it in the winter.
2008 Subaru Impreza WRX - I drive this on weekends during the summer and daily drive it in the winter.

97 Saturn SL2 bought on Feb of 2012 for school. Had 112,008 miles, bought it for $2100. Car is growing on me. Been thinking of getting the 91-92 header for it. Ganna get slotted rotors for it. No longer think of it as just a daily. Now think of it as my Saturn.

Default Re: How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

I'm 26, and the first car I bought was my 1994 Saturn SC1 (which brought me here, since it needed some TLC when I bought it).

History of cars I've owned (most recent first):
  1. 1994 Saturn SC1 (current)
  2. 1986 Ford F-150 (gift from my aunt and uncle, sold it to a collector because I couldn't afford to maintain it or fuel it up at 8 MPG at that point. Damn shame he wanted to paint the whole thing black, because I love this paint job)

Short list, I know, but I didn't get my first car until I was in college at like age 22 mostly because I never really needed one.

I'm 26 years old. Got my first car, an 84 Aries wagon when I was 14 for free as it was abandoned in a barn. My parents got mad at me for spending all my free time on it and made me get rid of it. Still haven't forgiven them for it haha.

My history includes almost 200 cars... I actually have a spreadsheet that I've kept track of how much I've spent on each one, how far I drove it, and what I sold it for so I won't retype all of that here. I've always grabbed cars before they were to head in to the junkyard and brought them back to life which is what I still do.

I've got a lot of stuff here. Ones with the * are cars I've saved from the junkyard.
82 Dodge Aries Coupe *
83 Dodge 400 Convertible *
84 Dodge Aries Wagon *
84 Chrysler Town and Country Wagon
85 Dodge 600ES Turbo Convertible *
85 Chrysler LeBaron Coupe *
89 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo GTC Coupe *
89 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo GTC Convertible
94 Plymouth Voyager 5 speed Minivan *
94 Volvo 850 Sedan *
95 Dodge Spirit Sedan *
96 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup
96 Volvo 850R Wagon
99 Saturn SW2
00 Saturn SW2 *
03 Dodge Caravan SE Minivan

A few of them are being restored, a few are being fixed and then will be resold, a few (namely the Caravan and my 99 Saturn) are for me to drive around every day, and... sadly... a few are to be parted out.

19 yrs old. tech. at buick/gmc dealer just north of Indianapolis, Indiana.

current:
1999 Saturn SL (obviously M/T), blue: mom drove off showroom floor(literally) march 99. she gave to me at 52,xxx miles. currently has 78,xxx mi. totaled approx 2 months ago, rear ended by mercury mountaineer on highway. rebuilt myself, still driving it. (plus got $2,600 from other driver's insurance)

1997 saturn sl1 automatic, maroon: bought april '11 for $500. had been hit in the exact same way that my blue baby would eventually get hit about a year later. fixed and gave to girlfriend. 186,9xx mi.

1985 Buick Electra Park Avenue- 3.8 v-6, maroon, fully loaded with the exception of digital climate control(thank god) girlfriend bought from uncle in '09 for $800, gave it to me when it blew head gasket a few months later(after she brought this home she lost the privelage of buying cars without me present). owned for most of its life by an elderly pastor near French Lick, Indiana. runs well now, but needs 4 doors, both fenders, and a paint job. the old man who owned it totaled it, then his family took his license away and sold the car.

1989 Mercury Topaz- 102,xxx?? mi may have flipped odo once or twice already, no way to tell. girlfriend bought for $900 in '08, worst mistake ever. total junk. massive oil leaks, trans slips really bad... what was she thinking...

sold or junked:

1986 cavalier sedan, 2.0 automatic paid $50, fixed up, sold for $400
1994 Nissan maxima SE 5speed: fixed and sold, nice car though...
1995 Geo Prizm 1.6 automatic: really slow and noisy, but ran great. girlfriend totaled.

1997 Saturn SL1 auto 192k (hers)

Default Re: How old are you? And what's your vehicle history?

29, and I've only owned two cars, both Saturns. Currently have a 2002 SL2, which replaced my '96 SC2 with manual transmission. I loved that thing, but it got into an altercation with a deer going 75 mph I sometimes half-consider buying one again, but I don't know what I'd be getting myself into with that car in its old age. Still, it was so much fun while I had it.
