Help with dash lights.

so i was driving to my friends house tonight and my gauge, hash tray, and AC control lights all went out at the same time. My head lights, tail lights and dome light all still work fine.

im thinking its a wiring problem just because all these lights went out at the same time so if i could get some advice on what i should check first, trouble shooting, and how to fix it that would be GREATLY appreciated.

Well, you didn't mention anything about the year of your car so I'm guessing here
In the 2nd gen cars, there's a 10 amp Park fuse for the:

radio display lights
gauge cluster back lights & dimmer
cigarette lighter ring
ashtray light
PRNDL light (if automatic transmission)
HVAC control backlights

also for the front parking lamps, tail lamps (not brake lamps), front and rear marker and license lamps.

Turn your lights on and walk around the car; if those lights are out, you blew the fuse (you say your tail lights are working so this might not be it)
