Default Just Bought a New Outlook...New to Saturn

Well, I finally bought the Saturn Outlook. I never would have figured myself as a "Saturn" person, but the new line-up has very nice lines. I'm all German when it comes to the automotive world, but when I had a new baby and inherited my step-daughter (I now have a family of 6) I soon realized that my sedan wasn't cutting it. There's not alot out there that fits 8 passengers (with room) that falls into the auto of choice, and not $$$$$. However, when I saw the first Saturn Outlook a few months back I was intrigued. The lines are beautiful and for the price...not too bad. I still think that some of the interior engine compartment could be done better, but for the price and for the safety ratings I'm not complaining. I just wanted to say "hi." and hopefully I will learn from this site in the near future.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Welcome! I have had my Outlook 1 year as of yesterday and still love it, to the tune of 19500 miles in 1 year. I am a repeat Saturn owner. This is my 3rd one.

I have a 2007 XR AWD in Midnight Blue. I have most of the options except Nav, DVD, moonroof or touring. What color is yours?

I uploaded it to my avatar. I'm not usually a "Gold" person, but I found this color a nice choice with the lines of the SUV, and besides my bro, just bought one in the charcoal color (I believe).

This was the last one in the 2007 model which was brand new. It's the XE AWD. I really needed this more for hauling then luxury. I did wish this one had the sunroof, but for the price break of last years model I'll take it. :-)

Welcome to Outlook ownership. My story is surprisingly similar to yours (except for the stepchild), so from someone who seems to have very similar tastes and experiences, I think you'll definitely be happy with your choice. I know I have been. We have had ours for just over 6 months and I couldn't be more pleased.

Welcome...

I bought my Outlook as my first Saturn and I couldn't be happier. I am the proverbial suburban mom who actually bought this to get out from under the minivans I had been driving for the last decade. My oldest is about to go to college and my youngest just started high school so I still needed room to drive a bunch of teens around, but was so sick of being in a minivan and feeling like one among many. I smile every time I have to step into my Outlook and feel like a million bucks driving it. The stigma Saturn has garnered over the years is sure to be wiped out by their current lineup.

I hope you like your new baby as well as I like mine :-)

Thanks all! I got in my first debate over the "Saturn" versus the "Honda," but i'm very used to winning these as I have debated over the Honda's for years in regards to VW's. I had a fellow co-worker with his head down and unable to say anything else once done. Amazing what happens when you do your homework. :-)
