Question Front Sway Bar Link

I recently had my 2002 Saturn L200 in for service and they told me the Left front sway bar link needed replacing. I went out into the shop and felt the movement (very slight), which was not present on the right link. They wanted 120 to replace it. The part can be purchase on the internet for a little less then $16.00. I have two questions.

1. Is this a serious problem, a very slight movement
2. Is it difficult to replace myself

Regards,
Jerry Johnson

The clunking was driving me nuts, that's why I replaced mine.

Replacing both links took me about an hour and a half. I'd rate it medium difficult.

You will need a torx set for your socket and metric open end wrenches to replace them.

My stabilizer link was broken and fixing it eliminated almost all the clunking noise... Strut mounts were just fine and not the problem as I originally thought.
