I personally dont own any more S-Series. But I saw my fathers SW2, which used to be mine through the bathroom window this morning as I got out of the shower.

I washed and waxed it yesterday, along with adding a pint of oil to top off.
Today I just changed the spark plugs. Contemplating my next move of how to fill in the tiny tear/crack in the cam cover to keep oil from seeping out. I'm thinking Gorilla glue but someone suggested jb weld. It has to be oil and heat resistant ya know!? |

Bought a battery charger.
Charged the battery in the 92' SL2. Put oil in the 92' Sl2, and preyed to god it would start. It didn't. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next step, getting it to run. Its in near perfect condition, besides the engine. |

Why not just replace it? They're pretty cheap.

Cleaned the throttle body today, it was sticking and needed to be done. Started it up to go somewhere, RPM went right up to 3K, whoops, popped the hood and plugged the IACV and TPS sensors back in. As I get back in the car, I looked up at the headliner at the stain of road salt from the Minnesota winters, the water has leaked in carrying the salt with it, and that is on my long list of things to fix.

well... today, nothing. Yesterday, I starting the "make car last a little longer" project that will include the "make peppier" project.
these will include: replace clutch replace timing chain and sprockets and all such things in there replace cylinder head with PnPed head which will allow for... put power steering pump back in so I can have AC back!! find oil leak and fix - tracked down to either timing cover or oil pan or where they meet new mounts swap in 92' header and down tube should be fun!! ![]() so far, I've put her up on blocks and removed the front half of exhaust! ![]()

Not much this weekend. I just made a new cargo cover for the back of the wagon. Will see how long it lasts. Was a test and I hope it works cause I hate not having one to cover the stuff in the back.

Cleaned the throttle body. I swear it's the first time it's been cleaned since it rolled off the assembly line.

Took mine for a Super Kiss car wash at Delta Sonic today (it was free). Then proceeded to fix the high beam indicator bulb that wasn't working, and secured the turn signal/wiper stalk assembly so it wouldn't rotate from side to side.
I also installed a round analog clock and a round thermometer in the front bezel, next to the center air vents. The previous owner had drilled a few holes there to mount switches for his electronic crap, so I needed to do something to clean things up. Turned out pretty decent, and they'll certainly be useful things to have. |

lets see on thurs fixed my drivers window finally after a year of dealing with a messed up regulator. tomorrow getting around to doing the water pump, and radiator since one or both decided to start leaking like crazy for the last couple of days as well as swapping the other intake manifold on that's been bored a little. will probably see about getting to the lateral link I've been putting off and giving the other tie rod end a shot that's rusted in place.

Gave her a bath today. Tomorrow's list: vacuum out the interior from several weekends ago, glue parts of the fabric covering on the doors back into place, and repairing the speaker grille/cubby hole area on both doors (the mounting points are broken, going to screw them in place from the back side). Here's the Satty after the bath,

Nice looking car, is it a 5spd. Those are my favorite models. I've never seen one up close but they have the short wheelbase and the excellent looking body and just look like a hoot to drive.
The wheels look superb and I bet the tint saves you some grief come summer. Just be glad you don't have my car.......black paint, black dash and no tint. I know Mississippi isn't as hot as FL but we get 95F days for 4-5 months and high humidity to boot. |

those I don't think they are to far off mine (know someone who had one and parked next to them but admittedly never checked how close they might have been). I agree though I kinda would rather have an SC but needed a car more then I could be picky when I got mine
