Default Seat compatibility

Hi,

I am (still) trying to replace the driver's side front seat on my 2003 Saturn L200. I found a couple seats from 2002 L300s - will they fit?

Is there a part compatibility chart posted somewhere?

Thanks.

Go to car-parts.com and search for the item. It will give you an idea of what is compatible.

^^^ Very good suggestion.

This may help: I took a power driver's seat from a 2001 L-Series and transplanted it to a 2004 non power seat car.

Bolted right in. Seat covers swap presented no issues. Significant since the 2000-2002 models were the 1st generation for L's. 2003-2005 the 2nd generation.

Pretty sure all L's front seats are the same as far a bolt in. However, there were a few variations on the lumbar adjustment on the side of the seat.

YES! Totally compatible. Indeed if you have a manual drivers seat you can replace it with a powered seat (its also heated) as well. All L sereis carried the same wiring loom, so all the wiring plugs are there for powered seats under the seat. The only thing you would need (if you want) are the switches for the heated seats. Again, Saturn installed the wiring for these and the switches which fit in the bezel where the hazard light is, just plug in.

We pulled an entire perfect condition black leather interior off a 2002 L series and installed in my son's L300 which had the cloth interior. Got all the seats (both now heated, drivers powered) plus all door cards. Paid $156.00 at the Pull & Pay for everything, then sold the other interior for $50.00. Total outlay $65.00. Should have posted a You Tube video at the time" I bought the cheapest.... in the USA" LOL

Thanks everyone! It has been an on-going battle trying to find a seat that either isn't completely trashed or half way across the country!

^^^^^ Why are you wanting to replace this seat? Covers torn or worn out tracks? Cloth or Leather? Is it a manual seat or power?

Saw a primo interior in a 2001 wagon yesterday in a JY. Manual seat, Med Grey in color. Sorta a rough tweed material. Perfect front seats. Front seats are the same for wagons and sedans.

Front seat is broken, the metal actually cuts into my pants - lost a few pairs of pants before I realized what was going on. Thought about just finding somebody to weld it back together, but the seat really is trashed.

Ok. Again, is this a power or manual seat?

The reason I ask is I have a perfect manual driver's seat frame that came out of a 2004 wagon with 10K miles on it. I took the covers off when I swapped for a power seat. If any interest, just let me know via PM.
