Default Disconnect injector and/or coil sl1 w bad cylinder

Need some good solid advice, Have a 99 SL1 that is biting the dust due to a bent valve and is not worth fixing due to the age and mileage 321,000+. I have to drive it as is for now as I look for another car and I need to know if I should disconnect the injector to*that cylinder and anything else like a coil wire if possible. My mechanic said drive til it dies and I may do that hence the question. He tapped the bent valve lightly to insure it would not fall into the cylinder. AND after posting a question a few days ago about if there is a hotter range plug for my car with little response can anyone confirm that no such plug exists? Thanks!
