Weather today rainy, very humid. Noticed water dripping into passenger side from A/C area ... ice cold from A/C housing, and hot from heater housing. On one sharp turn I heard some sloshing noise, like icy slush, from behind the dash. On prior occasions I have heard what sounded like ice hitting the blower fan blade. Today the water is serious, as in about one or two quarts worth. Is there a drain that is plugged? Or is there possibly a hole corroded through somewhere?

Most likely it's a clogged drain in the evaporator reservoir. Look around on the firewall and you should be able to find it.

There is nothing more frightening than ignorance in action. |

Thanks Owl-san! That's exactly what was happening. My trusty mechanic jiggled the green slime out of the drain tube, blew the thing out with compressed air, flushed it with clean water, and now all the water drains to the outside instead of upon my golfing buddy's left foot. You da man, er .. Owl !!!
