Default Suggestions on headlight bulb

My headlights are pretty dim and I live in a pretty dark county-type area. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions to which brands of bulbs I should look into buying. I would like something that has bright low-beams that light up the street well and very bright high-beams.

Sylvania Silverstars!!!!!

I've got them in my SC2 and WOW! My old headlights were so dim that when one of them burned out, I made an hour long trip with them on high beams the whole way, and not a single person flashed their high beams at me. My high beams really were as dim as most people's low beams! Put in the Silverstars the next day and I could not believe the difference. We've got them in the VUE also, both high beam and low beam, and they give excellent light output, and are a clear, crisp white color. Very awesome and totally worth the cost, IMO.

How long have your silverstars been in your vehicles?

I only ask because I've seen reports (here) saying that the silverstars don't last very long in service.
