![]() Hi all,
Yesterday i cleaned my EGR (wasn't too bad, but cleaned it regardless.). Everything was fine when i test drove it after. Now today, on my way back from school, i got a p0440 while on the highway. I also cleaned my throttle body the day before and replaced the upstream O2 sensor. All of this was in hopes of smoothing out the idle and curing what seemed to be an overly rich mixture. Any ideas?

![]() Just a thought, but did you make sure you tightened the EGR Valve and the TB back into place nice and snug? Also, were there any rips in either gasket?
... 13' Chevy Spark, 4 speed CVT. Wife's car. 67k. 02' SC2, DOHC, 5 speed M/T. Current DD. 232k.

![]() Thanks for your input.
Found the issue: a small vacuum line behind the TB leading down to the EGR "junction box" had come off its fitting. With a proper clamp it's now sealed. This was also causing a suction sound near the TB.
