![]() I have a 1996 SL2 for my daily driver. It's leaking oil like no other. I'm just wondering where can I find this on my car. Thanks alot.

![]() It's leaking from somewhere in the back of the engine. If anyone have any more suggestions on what it could be let me know. Thanks alot.

![]() the tranaxle needs to be seperated from the engine in order to get to the rear main.

![]() At the back of the engine it could be the rear main seal or the quill (input shaft bearing seal) seal in the trans or possibly the oil pan.

![]() Yes it's a five speed, it leaks right over the exhaust and falls right onto it. I just replaced the valve cover gasket, and it still leaks.

![]() If it is leaking onto the top of the exhaust manifold then really the only place it could be coming from would be the valve cover gasket. If it's down lower and leaking onto the exhaust pipe going under the engine then most of what I mentioned in my last post could be the source but I would lean more towards the oil pan. Get a spray bomb of engine shampoo and spray everything down and wash it off. Keep an eye on it to see if you can trace the source down.
