Default 2000 saturn ls2 turn signal

hello everyone i bought a 2000 saturn L- series and im having problems with the turn signal/milti-function switch ...when i bought the car the turning signal switch wouldnt return automatically so i bought a new one but im still having the same problem ...any ideas what would the problem be?

I had the a similar issue. Are you sure the switch is seated in both sets of clips? Mine was not seated all the way- and now works just fine.

I have the same problem. I replaced the switch assembly, and it still won't cancel the signal after turning. The wagon passed inspection; I might just live with the problem.

Pull the signal switch out and have a look into the hole to the center of the steering column to see if you can see the cancelling tab, you may have to turn the steering wheel. It is part of the SIR clockspring coil I have seen them break off.
