Wow! This is frikken sweet! The wife would kill me if I bid on this!

I love how he has ALL of the documentation....I mean this is incredible.

This would definately make for a good show car. In Ohio it would be available for Historical Plates in 2016.

Wow...just wow. That engine is incredibly clean.

Number 8 off the line.... One of only ~38K sedans built the first model year.

There were roughly about ~48K cars built in 1991, the other 10K being Sport Coupes.

I did just notice one thing that is very odd about this car. Even though the car is a 1991 model year...didn't ALL 1991 Model year Saturns sedan and sport coupes have the oil gauge on the dash?

I guess that the fact that this car is a GM Vault car may symbolize that the you can still have odd built cars. Since it was used for brochure publications, etc. It's possible that they had multiple interior dash designs; and this car just so happens to have the second style of the first generation dash panel (minus the oil gauge).

Just thought I would point this out.

Still this car is definately a beauty.

No. There is not a cold air intake on the engine. That is the Air housing tubing.

The 1991 engine and the SOHC has the Air filter at the back of the engine on TBI engines. This is identical to my 94 SOHC.

Hard to notice from this picture too, but notice the lack of Upper Motor Mount, which was an improvement for the 1992 model year.

Really the only thing that held the engines in place on the 91 model year was an 8 inch long steel cable that was underneath the Flywheel.

Already going for over $3K and the reserve STILL isn't met yet.

Hopefully this will go to someone who appreciates Saturn and what they stood for. This is definately a piece of auto history that won't be seen again.

This was probably one of the Saturns that was part of the Barrett Jackson auction last year. This may have been part of the GM Heritage Museum...or possibly actually locked away in a GM only car vault someplace in Michigan. After all it does have all of the paperwork and the 1991 Michigan Registration Plate with it....

As off-track pointed out...this car since the VIN DOES match out to be a true VIN and number 8 off the line, very well possible this could have been in the Heritage Collection. A couple of The X millionth produced S-Series cars went for sale at this Barrett Jackson auction as well. Some of the cars in the Heritage Collection were truly one of a kind vehicles, even if they were part of that said vehicle's production run. Many were concept vehicles or the like.

Can anyone answer me the question I asked earlier? I am still finding it interesting that this car's dash doesn't have the oil gauge.
