![]() The problem just started this past week and am trying to figure out where to start. When we were driving down the road, all of the sudden the doors unlocked and when we pushed on the button to lock them again, there was no response. Then about 10 seconds later they locked again. This continued to happen every 20-30 seconds. When we parked the car, it did not appear to attempt to unlock the car when placed into park and we couldn't get the electronic locks to work. We manually got out. I went out and checked the car an hour later and everything was ok then, but when we went driving and the car seemed to warm up, it started occuring again and has happened since.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

![]() Worn out master door Lock/Unlock switch? Look closely to see if its not centering otherwise pop it off for closer examination. Overuse can sometimes wear it out. You won't be pleased with the next suggestion if it can be traced back to it - the bcm.

![]() Thanks Fdryer.....would that just be the drivers side power door switch then? Could I just unhook it and drive the car to see if it continues to happen and also is the passengers side switch the same as the drivers?

![]() Yes, your side (driver's) is the master switch for all the doors and is used the most so wear (and strange lock issues) would show there first. The passenger side door switch only controls that door. The two back door locks don't have push button switches but control their own window. Disconnecting the wiring to the master door switch can isolate the gremlins (if its is the master causing it) from distractions. You can also remove the 10A Body Fuse to disable both door switches to see if this stops the door solenoids cycling. Hopefully you'll be able to isolate and correct the problem otherwise further troubleshooting may point to the body control module (BCM).
